Once upon a time pink was considered a color best left to the boys. Yes, that’s right ladies, according to Smithsonian, we stole pink from men. And I must say we’ve done beautifully with it. The Grammy Awards red carpet saw its fair share of the pretty hue on artists like Ellie Goulding who wore a simple Stella McCartney slip, Florence Welch who opted for a Gucci dreamscape, and the night’s big winner, Taylor Swift, who stole the show in a two piece Atelier Versace. And so far, the catwalks of Paris and NYC have been silly with it. So can you blame me if I felt inspired to follow suit? My humble entree is from Forever 21, though I imagine it’s Valentino like my Mary Jane heels. Do I feel pretty in it? Well, I’m no Molly Ringwald, but yes, yes I do.
