Coachella (Still) On My Mind

I was super excited about jetting, well, driving through traffic, to Coachella this weekend, especially after receiving an invite to the undisputed BEST party of the weekend at the Revolve Desert House. Check it out on their Instagram here. I even tested out some of my looks in a desert landscape while in LA. I know, geeky move, but hey, I’m a girl who likes to be prepared! Then, after the adrenaline rush of anticipation, I got word that I had to stay in Los Angeles for the weekend. It was a work related roadblock, and one that might be the beginning of something great, but still, I was bumming. Undaunted, I’ve decided to share my Coachella party look with you, so all is not lost. Enjoy, then comment, then please share your Coachella looks with me for your real, or imagined festival moment.

Music Festival Musings

The first weekend of Coachella is just a few days away, and, for the 17th year in a row, aka as-many-years-as-it’s-been-in-exisitence, I am not going. (Though I think I can get a pass on the first ten ’cause I didn’t even know about it then.) This is a funny thing because I’m dressing as though I were going. And I would LOVE to. This is sounding increasingly sad. But don’t cry for me Argentina, or LA, or wherever you’re situated while you read my stream of consciousness, I’m happy and grateful to be wearing a romper in the city of angels. I’ll be getting my Coachella fix via KCRW and blogs like The Blonde Salad. And maybe, just maybe, I’ll manage a desert moment before it’s all said and done.

Sweater Weather

In these first few weeks of Spring there are still enough cool days here in Los Angeles to warrant a sweater moment. And I’m all in for that, especially since I scored this one a few weeks ago. It’s collegiate meets sophisticate by way of cozy and I’ve been wearing it a lot lately. Here I’ve paired it with my favorite distressed jean from Dylan George and my daughter’s Stan Smith sneakers. Her feet are a little bigger than mine (when did that happen?!) but I don’t have my own Adidas yet, and they are oh-so comfortable and cool, so I’m making them work. Whatever the weather, a little determination goes a long way. I (re)learned that after seeing Hamilton on Broadway last week. But that’s another story.
