Spring Has Sprung

Spring has sprung, the grass is ris, I wonder where the flowers is?! That’s a silly little saying my dad liked to bandy about this time of year. It always made me smile so I figured I’d share the love. Yes, springtime is in full bloom and I’m all smiles over it. In LA that means weather warm enough for little dresses, bright colors and florals too. Here I’m wearing an off-the-shoulder dress, which, if you haven’t heard is a trend carrying over from last year. I’ve paired it with a floral platform sandal, this one from H&M, and a poppy envelope clutch. So here’s to all the good things that Spring symbolizes, from rebirth and renewals, the promise of life and love and warm weather too.

It’s Transparent

I never thought the day would come when I would think wearing underpinnings in plain view, especially the bottom half, would be an acceptable dinner or cocktail hour option. But this trend has been percolating for a few years now and, in my view, it came to a head with Emily Ratajkowski at this year’s Vanity Fair Oscar party. So I decided to give it a whirl. I doubt this will be my go-to special-occasion outfit of choice, but I have to admit I did find it rather liberating to parade about in my skivvies. Would you wear this trend?
