Floral Rompers or Why Playful is Good

So I’m wearing a romper, which I’m pretty sure was originally a garment meant for babies to wear on their play dates back in the early part of the 1900s. Today women have usurped the snappy one-piece for their own, otherwise motivated, playtime. I mean, how can you not feel playful when wearing a romper? I challenge you to even say the word without cracking a smile, or at least a smirk. Yes, when you wear a romper it is expected that you will, well, romp, which (according to the questionably sourced online dictionary that I continue to reference), means that you must have a “lively or boisterous frolic.” That is exactly what I did when I wore this floral print Nasty Gal number to the Ken Fulk for Pottery Barn collection preview party in downtown Los Angeles. I danced, sipped champs, made friends, and merry. A perfect play date if ever there was one.

With love,

Amanda
