Sometimes our sartorial proclivities are revealed to us in subtle ways. Did I just hear a collective, “Huh?” Let me explain. If you were to ask me if I like wearing prints and patterns, I’d probably answer, “Not so much.” But my closet tells a different story. When I’m looking to stand out, and cut a happy swath through a party or some other celebratory event, I often find myself reaching for bright color and stand out patterns, as expressed perfectly in this Matthew Williamson fast-fashion collab dress. I can’t help but smile when I’m wearing it, and it seems to put a smile on the faces of people I encounter too. Hmmm, maybe they’re laughing at me? Scratch that bit of negative thinking… The dress makes me, and everyone who sees it happy! Overstatement? Maybe, but I’m the girl who likes to spin positive. Twirling my way to a brighter, more self-aware, sartorial future! What surprising reveals does your closet hold for you?

Jump On It
I’ve been falling in love a lot lately, with jumpsuits. And like the most exciting romances, my attention is piqued by something a little risky. A jumpsuit isn’t usually my thing, but when it’s right, well, you might as well surrender. This Kenneth Cole piece really took me by surprise. It’s a little outside my comfort zone, which is why I had to try it. Is it zebra? Are those savage claw marks? Is it just an artful bit of monochromatic goodness? Maybe it’s a Rorschach? There is no wrong answer, except perhaps indifference. Take a leap (or a jump) of faith and try one on for size. You just might fall head over heels.
